Jewel beetle pin badge

A handsculpted pin badge made to resemble a jewel beetle. With over 15k known species, jewel beetles are easily spotted by their brilliant iridescent colours, produced by microscopic textures on their bodies that reflects light, rather than through pigmentation. They are the 8th largest insect family, with around 20 species found in the UK 𓆣٭ * 𖦹
